Mosaic Design

This course offers a special opportunity to work with a visiting artist from Italy. Following a slide presentation of historical and contemporary mosaics, students begin creating mosaic works of their own design.
Participants learn how to organize a ceramic color palette and techniques for inlaying ceramic shards onto mortared panels. The art of mosaic can be used to embellish walls, patio furniture, and more.
