Hank Dunlop has been working in the fields of consulting, preservation, and restoration since the 1960s. He is noted for his expertise with respect to California interiors of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. He is a principal at Hank Dunlop and Associates, a consulting firm specializing in interior and architectural history, restoration, and property development. Currently he is the historic interiors consultant for the restoration of the Leland Stanford mansion in Sacramento.
Hank has taught at the Winterthur Institute, Attingham, the Victorian Society in America's Summer Schools, and the West Dean College Architectural Conservation Symposium.
Before he began his teaching career, he was an associate and senior project manager at Gensler.
