Making New Worlds: Dioramas and Beyond
Making New Worlds: Dioramas and Beyond
Vanessa Marsh
San Francisco campus (August 1–12)
This class explores the exciting possibilities of creating new miniature worlds as well as bringing art out into the world at large. Students have the opportunity to learn about perspective and small-scale sculpture by creating miniature scenes and landscapes.
Additionally, students use impermanent materials such as colored masking tape to explore how art can be contextualized in a specific space and how site-specific art can change the way we see the world around us.
With emphasis on the importance of both concept and fun, creative thinking fuels this multimedia course.
