We are thrilled that you have been admitted, to CCA's graduate program and look forward to welcoming you to our esteemed community this fall.
What's Next . . .
Upon receiving their official CCA offer of admission, which includes the admission packet, students often experience both excitement and feelings of anticipation that are often accompanied by a number of questions regarding the enrollment process.
Let us help in putting your mind at ease.
1. Review the contents of your admit packet. In the materials accompanying your letter of acceptance contains information materials that address a wide range of topics, such as CCA resources and services and a schedule of upcoming events to which you are cordially invited.
2. Financial aid. If you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and have applied for financial assistance, you will receive an award letter in April. All questions regarding your aid award should be directed to CCA's Financial Aid Office by calling 415.703.9528 or graduateprograms@cca.edu.
Please read the entire letter carefully, and if you have no additional questions, please return the enclosed page that indicates your acceptance of the financial aid offer, including any outstanding documents.
International students are ineligible for need-based financial aid; for information pertaining to non-CCA financial aid resources, see Funding Your Education.
3. Confirm your attendance. Your acceptance packet includes an Intent to Enroll form. Please complete and return this form, along with the nonrefundable $300 enrollment deposit, no later than May 1, 2008, in order to secure your place in the incoming class. Please be sure to update your address, phone number, and email address, as necessary, when completing the form.
4. I-20/visa procedures (international students only). To obtain a student visa you must submit an I-20 request form (PDF) and a bank statement that documents you have access to at least $42,000 in order to meet your educational costs.

5. Housing. We recognize the transition to graduate school is a significant undertaking and where you will live often is a basic yet essential first consideration for new students.
CCA is pleased to offer our graduate students the college-sponsored housing option to live at UC San Francisco's new unfurnished residential facilities at the UCSF Mission Bay campus, where you'll be able to choose from a variety of housing options.
In the coming weeks you will receive additional information about the following housing opportunity:
- UCSF Mission Bay Housing: offers graduate students Located less than half a mile from CCA's San Francisco campus, Mission Bay is a short bike or bus ride from where graduate students spend most of their time. Limited shuttle service also is available.
Accommodations also are extended to the spouses, partners, and families of CCA students.. In addition to the residential apartments, Mission Bay's new facility includes restaurants, coffee shops, and other services.
CCA graduate students are able to choose from a variety of housing options at Mission Bay. Accommodations are available for students with spouses, partners, and families. 6. Register for courses. Once you submit the Intent to Enroll form and enrollment deposit, you will receive a registration packet in May that contains instructions for fall 2008 course registration, which begins in June and is coordinated through the individual graduate program offices.

7. Orientation. Immediately before the start of each semester CCA conducts a two-day orientation to familiarize new graduate students with the college, its programs, and campus resources. New students also have the opportunity to meet each other, faculty, and staff prior to the beginning of classes.
This year's graduate orientation is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, August 30–31 (prior to Labor Day weekend). Plan accordingly to arrive in the Bay Area in time to participate. Look for a detailed schedule of orientation activities that we will send to all enrolled students early in the summer.
