California College of the Arts

Other Financial Aid

Since CCA-administered financial aid is not sufficient to meet all students' financial need, students are encouraged to seek external funding.

Other Organizations

Students should investigate educational funding from their employers and their parents' or spouse's employers, local sororal/fraternal and service organizations, American Legion auxiliaries, and Veteran's Affairs offices in their state of residence.

Students are encouraged to use the Meyer Library and their public libraries to research scholarship possibilities.

Students are required to notify the financial aid office of any external assistance they receive.

Other Websites

Applicants and students are encouraged to take advantage of a number of websites that provide useful financial aid information.

One of the best sites is www.finaid.org. Among the many services it offers free of charge are the following:

  • links to online searchable databases containing over 200,000 private sector scholarships, fellowships, grants, and loans
  • EFC Estimator, an online calculator that computes an estimate of the student's expected family contribution and financial need using the Federal Need Analysis Methodology
  • a loan repayment calculator that calculates manageable debt levels based upon anticipated income
  • an annotated bibliography of financial aid resource materials
