Welcome and congratulations on your new or additional role as a parent or family member of a newly admitted California College of the Arts student!
Attending college represents an important transition for students and their families alike. We value the important role you have played in supporting your student's decision to attend CCA and we encourage you to continue to play a role in the education and development in your student's life over the next few years.
At CCA we consider the relationship we have with our students' parents and families as a partnership designed to help our students thrive and attain success.
With that in mind, we would like to invite you to participate in the fall 2008 Parent & Family Orientation program. You will have an opportunity to attend a variety of informational sessions that cover many topics related to your student's upcoming transition.
(Please take advantage of the parent resources page that lists suggested readings and helpful links, all geared toward parents of a college-bound youth.)
The sessions are designed to provide important information about CCA, its academic programs, student support services, financial aid and payment policies, and general college life. You will meet members of the CCA administration, faculty, staff, and student leaders who will be on hand to answer your questions.
Please contact the Student Affairs Office if you have any questions or concerns.
Again, congratulations and welcome to California College of the Arts. I look forward to meeting you at Orientation.
Sincerely,
George Luis Sedano
Dean of Student Development
