Scholarships

Undergraduate Students

Creative Achievement Awards. This competition is open to all high school seniors entering in the fall. These renewable awards, which range up to $15,000 annually, are based primarily on a student's academic achievement and creative ability. A portfolio is required. The admissions application must be complete by February 1 for merit scholarship consideration. There is no separate application for these merit awards.

Diversity Awards. These renewable awards are offered to entering undergraduate students who bring diverse experiences, ideas, and creative work to the CCA community. The awards, in combination with other CCA scholarships and federal and state grants, can cover up to $24,000 for the 2006–7 school year. The following criteria will be considered in the scholarship review: students from educationally disadvantaged families who have demonstrated academic and artistic achievement, students who have demonstrated leadership in service to the community, and students whose work focuses on social or cultural issues.

Faculty Honors Awards. This competition is open to all direct college transfer applicants entering in the fall. These renewable awards, which range up to $10,000 annually, are based primarily on a student's academic achievement and creative ability. A portfolio is required. The admissions application must be complete by February 1 for merit scholarship consideration.

Undergraduate CCA Scholarships. These scholarships are available to all full-time students who are either U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens and who demonstrate financial need and academic merit at CCA. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $17,000. See the complete list of CCA Scholarships.

Walter and Josephine Landor Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship is open to all entering undergraduate students. Awards are based on a student's outstanding creative ability. A portfolio is required. The admissions application must be complete by February 1 for scholarship consideration.

Graduate Students

CCA Graduate Merit Scholarships. The graduate admissions committee selects outstanding students for the prestigious graduate merit scholarships. These scholarships are renewable and, for 2006–7, can be awarded for up to full tuition. All entering graduate students, including international students, are eligible for consideration for graduate merit scholarships. The college also awards a limited number of nonrenewable, highly competitive merit scholarships to continuing graduate students. See the complete list of Merit Scholarships.
