Things I Want to Know
Community: CCA prepares students to understand the challenges and possibilities of doing creative, meaningful work in diverse, international, and multicultural contexts. The Center for Art and Public Life provides special programs for students interested in connecting art, education, and community. The Office of Student Activities and Leadership Development supports campuswide events, student organizations, and leadership opportunities for students.
Careers: The Office of Career Services will help you discover your career options through support services including internship opportunities, workshops, and career counseling.
Housing: Participating in campus housing provides students an opportunity to build lifelong friendships. Housing offers two residence halls on the Oakland campus and one off-campus residence hall in downtown Oakland.
Study Abroad: CCA offers two ways to study abroad: (1) international exchange at one of over 25 associated international art schools, and (2) summer study abroad.
Teaching: At CCA you can enrich your studio art practice with a concentration in art education. SMART (Subject Matter Art) is nested within our first-year, studio, and humanities curriculum.
