Do you have knowledge to share, advice to give, or time to spare? Do you want to connect with fellow alumni, experience campus life, or develop your leadership and networking skills? The Alumni Association and its leadership group, the Alumni Council, invite you to do all these things by volunteering.
Share your belief in arts education — as an Enrollment Services volunteer. Recruit the most talented and promising students to CCA by representing the college at a college fair or open house, or speaking by phone to prospective students. Share your CCA experiences and answer questions about campus life. An easy way to aid young artists while improving your public speaking and networking skills.
Inspire the next generation — as a Career Services / Student Affairs volunteer. Share your knowledge and support with current CCA students by sitting on a career panel, serving as a mentor, passing out goodie-bags during finals, or hosting a new student breakfast. A fun way to be a part of campus life while supporting the next generation of artists.
Showcase alumni talent — as an alumni exhibitions volunteer. Show off the creativity and diversity of CCA alumni by working with a team to organize exhibitions of alumni artwork in public spaces and corporate venues throughout the Bay Area. A great opportunity to learn about local exhibition spaces and support alumni artists.
Dig up the past — as an archive project volunteer. Organize a century of local art history by working with a team of volunteers and the library director. Sort historical material into accessible archives and collect new materials from alumni and faculty. Use your organizational skills and learn about CCA and Bay Area history.
Throw a great party — as an alumni events volunteer. Keep CCA alumni connected and having fun by assisting with planning alumni events and programs, such as networking events, crit groups, museum outings, or the CCA commencement reception. Develop your event planning skills while reconnecting with fellow alumni.
Bring CCA home — as a regional events volunteer. Connect with CCA alumni outside the Bay Area by organizing an event, large or small, which will gather together alumni in your area. Whether you live in Seattle, New York, or Tokyo, regional events and clubs are a great way to build friendships and networks in your home area.
Be an alumni leader — as a member of the Alumni Council. Serve on the leadership group of the Alumni Association and be part of the team that represents alumni interests to the school. See Alumni Council.
