What is a lifecycle? A lifecycle is the path that an object takes: from concept to manufacturing, distribution, use, potential reuse, and ultimately landfill. To explore this theme, five teams of students each adopted an iconic yet everyday product: Converse shoe, Barbie doll, disposable diaper, PDA, and CD.
They investigated the product lifecycle and the relationships and assumptions users express with the product during the product's short "useful life." The students then responded with user-centered designs that affect the product lifecycle with a positive environmental benefit.
The outcome of these explorations will be presented in the exhibition Lifecycle.
