Martin Venezky is a professional designer and educator. He earned his BA in visual studies at Dartmouth College and his MFA in design from Cranbrook Academy of Art, and he has taught in many areas of design—including typography, form making, and photography—at California Institute of the Arts, Art Center College of Design, and Rhode Island School of Design. In 1997 he founded the firm Appetite Engineers, whose accomplishments in design range from books to events, websites, and identities. He wrote It Is Beautiful . . . Then Gone (Princeton Architectural Press, 2005) and is currently a visiting artist at CCA, teaching in both the undergraduate Graphic Design Program and the Graduate Program in Design.
