Free and open to the public

Born in New England, Justin Cronin is the author of the best-selling novel The Passage, which depicts a postapocalyptic world of psychic vampires and is currently being filmed by director Ridley Scott. Cronin's other works include Mary and O’Neil, which won the Pen/Hemingway Award and the Stephen Crane Prize, and The Summer Guest.

Having earned his bachelor of arts from Harvard and his MFA from the Iowa Writers Workshop, Cronin is now a professor of English at Rice University and lives with his family in Houston.
