Career Services and Academic Affairs enthusiastically present the 2011-12 Art and Design at Work Professional Development Series. Art and Design at Work is an information-packed series of workshops focused on presenting key tips on how to succeed in the creative industry as an artist, designer, writer, or entrepreneur.
This event, "Bringing Your Product to Market," is focused on how the process works between designers and major manufacturers. Learn how to license creative ideas to major manufacturers, the process, how to pitch ideas, what to send, how to negotiate a good deal, including royalty rates and the terms included. Learn about where the opportunities are from kitchenware, household to the developing world, as well as DRTV and as seen on TV model.
