Career Services and Academic Affairs enthusiastically present the 2011-12 Art and Design at Work Professional Development Series. Art and Design at Work is an information-packed series of workshops focused on presenting key tips on how to succeed in the creative industry as an artist, designer, writer, or entrepreneur.
This event, "Grant-Seeking Basics for Individuals in the Arts," will help participants gain an overview of foundation fundraising and learn effective strategies for finding funders who support individuals working in the arts. If you are an individual involved in the arts and are looking for funding to complete a project, mount an exhibition, put on a performance, conduct research, or anything else related to the arts, this workshop will show you how to:
- Identify funders in the arts
- Explore the option of fiscal sponsorship
- Create a step-by-step plan to find funding for your needs as an individual grantseeker
- Search through detailed descriptions of thousands of foundation programs in foundation grants to individuals online
This workshop will be led by The Foundation Center.
Additional Art and Design at Work events will take place throughout the academic year, so don't miss out on these unique professional development opportunities!
