ZURB's original Midwesterner Bryan Zmijewski grew up in Minnesota and came to California to attend Stanford University, where he received his degree in product design and went on to teach in the Product Design Department for 10 years. Bryan started his career designing toys for Skyline Toys, which was acquired by IDEO during his time there.
Bryan has started three businesses since then, including ZURB, which he founded in 1998. In the past 10 years, he's advised over 150 start-ups through ZURB and created over a billion dollars in market capitalization. Some of the companies ZURB has worked with include Netflix, Facebook, Yahoo, eBay, NYSE, Reuters, McAfee, Logitech, SalesForce, Playlist, Photobucket, and many others.
