At the Visual Studies Spring Symposium, graduating seniors in the Visual Studies Program will share papers on their undergraduate thesis topics. In its inaugural year, this symposium will include presentations by six students, whose work demonstrates the meaningful connections that can be made between objects of visual culture and critical theory.
Moderated by Maria Makela, chair of the Visual Studies Program, and other CCA faculty members, the symposium is an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to engage in a public discussion on the nature of visual information and communication.
