About Eleven Eleven
Founded in 2004 by MFA Program in Writing students Youmna Chlala and Gayle Romasanta, Eleven Eleven is a biannual publication with an online issue each winter and a print issue each summer. Published through CCA’s MFA Writing Program, each issue is edited by graduate students enrolled in the {1111} Literary Arts Journal course, under the direction of faculty editor Hugh Behm-Steinberg, and features local, national, and international writers and artists, both emerging and established.
Recent writers and artists featured include Alfred Arteaga, Blake Butler, Jan Zwicky, Alain de Botton, Laynie Browne, Craig Santos Perez, Nicolás Guillén, Leena Krohn, Charles Browning, Dan Beachy-Quick, EM Lewis, Anita Nair, Rae Armantrout, Ariel Dorfman, Polixeni Papapetrou, Kristin Eiriksdottir, Tracy K. Smith, Ruth Tabancay, Joan Aiken, Naoka Awa, and Mary Ruefle, among many others.
Work from Eleven Eleven has been selected for inclusion in the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net anthologies.
