Andrew Masullo is a painter of brilliantly colored, hard-edged geometric shapes. He received the prestigious Guggenheim Award in 2011, and 34 of his paintings were featured in the 2012 Whitney Biennial. Just in the past two years he has been in 20 international group exhibitions, and he has had solo shows at Daniel Weinberg Gallery in Los Angeles, Steven Zevitas Gallery in Boston, Feature Inc. in New York, and Gallery Paule Anglim in San Francisco.
In spring 2013 he will have a solo exhibition at Mary Boone Gallery in New York. His work has been reviewed in the New York Times, Artforum, Art in America, Modern Painters, the Los Angeles Times, and the San Francisco Chronicle. Masullo lives and works in San Francisco. He received his BA from Rutgers University in 1979.
