Kai-Uwe Bergmann is a partner and head of business development at Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), based in Copenhagen and New York. BIG’s architecture emerges out of an analysis of how contemporary life constantly evolves in response to multicultural exchange, global economic flows, and communication technologies.
Bergmann is LEED AP certified and registered as an architect in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Denmark.
Bergmann was a project manager on central Asia’s first carbon-neutral master plan: Zira Island in Baku, Azerbaijan. Before joining BIG in 2006, he was a project architect in the Austrian office of Baumschlager & Eberle.
