Four Progressive Religious Leaders Speak Out About "Moral Values"
Presented by Artists for Social Change and Political Awareness and Diversity Studies

Four nationally renowned religious and spiritual leaders speak about difference and commonality, justice and compassion, interfaith coalitions, the progressive spiritual voice, and a redefinition of "moral values."

  • Ibrahim Farajaje is an Islamic scholar and dean of the Starr King ministry school at the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley.
  • Rev. Dr. Mark Wilson is an ordained American Baptist minister and assistant professor in ministry and congregational leadership at the Pacific School of Religion, Berkeley.
  • Yvonne Rand is a mediation teacher and a lay householder priest in the Soto Zen Buddhist tradition. She has studied with Suzuki Roshi and His Holiness the Dalai Lama, among others.
  • Rabbi David J. Cooper is the spiritual leader of Kehilla Community Synagogue, a politically progressive, spiritually oriented congregation in Piedmont.
