Jennifer Angus is an artist, writer, curator, and assistant professor of textile design at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Angus received her BFA at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and her MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has exhibited her work internationally, including in Australia and Japan, and is the recipient of numerous awards, including Canada Council and Ontario Arts Council grants. Angus's room installations reference Victorian domesticity and elaborate wallpaper patterning but investigate the darker notions of terrible beauty—the seductive yet disturbing nature of insects, dirt, disease, and infestation.
