When it was published in France, Marjane Satrapi's graphic novel Persepolis, the story of growing up in Iran during the Islamic revolution and war with Iraq, garnered comparisons to Art Spiegelman's Maus and won several prestigious comic book awards.
This event in the JCCSF's graphic novelists series is presented in partnership with CCA, the Cartoon Art Museum, and the San Francisco Art Institute.
