The Vancouver-based artist Tim Lee makes photography- and video-based performance work, bringing classic Conceptualism together with canonical moments of pop culture and issues of race and national identity to create a complex, interconnected structure of references and meanings. Lee will discuss his recent Capp Street Project residency, during which he researched the connections between two live albums: Steve Martin's Let's Get Small and Neil Young's Rust Never Sleeps, both recorded in 1977–78 in San Francisco.
