The architect and designer Peter Di Sabatino is an adjunct professor at Art Center College of Design and a visiting professor at Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and the National Institute of Design, India. From 2001 to 2004 he chaired the department of environmental design at Art Center and also led the transdisciplinary research and design studios for the Nyumbani Village project in Kenya, Africa, a home for elders and children abandoned by the HIV/AIDS deaths of their middle-aged family members. Previously Di Sabatino was a professor of architecture and urbanism at Woodbury University, and in 1997 he was the founding director of the Community Design and Urban Research Center in Hollywood.
