Sean White is a researcher and inventor in the field of human-computer interaction. His interests specifically emphasize mobile computing, augmented reality, situated visualization, tangible user interfaces, and ecoinformatics (technology that applies to the ecological and environmental sciences). White has created art installations, developed renewable and alternative energy systems, grown carbon nanotubes, and composed music. He holds a BS and an MS in computer science from Stanford University, and he is currently a PhD candidate in computer science at Columbia University.
