Joel Sanders is the principal of JSA: Joel Sanders Architect, based in New York. The firm specializes in innovative, sustainable environments, ranging from residential and commercial interiors to housing and public parks. JSA has received numerous prestigious design awards and its projects have been exhibited at venues worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh; and the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, New York. Sanders is also an associate professor at the Yale School of Architecture and a regular contributor to Artforum. In 2004 Monacelli Press published the monograph Joel Sanders: Writings and Projects.
