Students in the Graduate Program in Design present their latest thinking about the domain of material things: things that we physically possess, and things that may also possess us, emotionally or socially. Now that there are so many reasons to "simplify" our lives, from financial disaster to a desire to reduce our contributions to the landfill, these students have set out to discover some of the diverse ways in which people order, value, and think about their possessions. They will present their research and findings as well as design concepts that have grown out of the research.
