Student Book Art Competition
To promote excellence in bookmaking, the CCA Libraries sponsor an annual Student Book Art Competition. Each Spring semester one book by a CCA student will be selected for inclusion in the library's artist book collection, and the student will receive a $200 prize. If you are a current CCA student and have created a book as part of a class, you will be eligible to submit up to three books. One or more entries per student will be exhibited in Meyer Library (Oak) following the judging period, as space permits. The entry period for projects created during the 09/10 school year is April 5 through April 9, 2010.
- Basic rules for entry
- You must be a current CCA student.
- Work on the book submitted must be in conjunction with a CCA course.
- Books will be evaluated on originality, depth of concept, craft, sensitivity to materials, relationship of materials and form to content, and use of the book form as important to the work.
- Books should not exceed twelve inches in any direction.
- The winning entries become the property of the CCA Libraries.
