East Bay Alumni Potluck well worth the trek!

Nearly 20 alumni and friends made the trek out to rural Martinez on Saturday, July 25 for an alumni gathering at the home of Patricia Vader (MFA Sculpture 2001). Patricia's 26 acre property is filled with her beautiful kinetic sculptures, amazing gardens and a menagerie of animals. Alumni mingled outside and enjoyed a potluck lunch overlooking the colorful gardens and views of the hills. Leland Byrd (Art Education 1973) gave us a demonstration of his tesla coil art and Patricia led us on a tour of her outdoor sculptures as well as the art inside her home. What a beautiful day and a great group of alumni!
