Exhibition Reception for Marty Streich: Metal Artist, Sculptor, Teacher brings an alumni party to Meyer Library

On September 16, over fifty alumni and guests attended a reception for Marty Streich: Metal Artist, Sculptor, Teacher. A teacher of metal arts and design at CCA from 1959 to 1999, Marty's rapport with his students, as well as his teaching methods, influenced many during his 40 years at the College. This exhibit showcases the designs created by Marty from 1960 to 1995. It was created by the CCA Alumni Council Archive Committee and is on view through October 9, 2009. With a strong mid-20th century aesthetic, Marty's work looks modern and fresh today. This is a great opportunity to view a body of work, much of it never exhibited before.
