Team California in First Place!

Team California took the lead in the Solar Decathlon this morning by winning the architecture contest with a score of 98 out of a possible 100, beating out powerhouses such as Team Germany, the 2007 winner of the Solar Decathlon, and Rice University.

Members of the media are currently swarming Refract House, with reporters from the Washington Post and Los Angeles Times interviewing Team California members. Project Manager Kyle Belcher, BArch 2009, will be on NPR's "All Things Considered" today, October 12, at 4:20 EST.
