CCA's biannual journal of literature and art, Eleven-Eleven, previously featured writer Alison Doernberg's work that has subsequently been selected to appear in Dzanc Books' Best of the Web 2010 series, a national anthology.
Doernberg's work, "How I Forget the Shape of Your Mouth When You Are Deep in Thought," was included in issue six of Eleven-Eleven, the CCA community journal whose aim it is to provide a forum for risk and experimentation and to serve as an exchange between writers and artists.
According to Writing and Literature and Graduate Program in Writing senior adjunct professor Hugh Behm-Steinberg (who also is editor of Eleven-Eleven): "This is the first time a piece has been selected from our journal for a national best-of anthology."
"We sincerely hope that you're as excited by this selection as we were to make it. ..." wrote Dzanc's series editor Matt Bell. "We can't thank you enough for publishing such excellent work, and we're very glad for this chance to share it with a new audience."
