Graphic Design Website Makes HOW Magazine's Top 10 Sites for Designers
Posted on Monday, April 5, 2010, by Jim Norrena

CCA Graphic Design adjunct professor Christopher Simmons has been judged—his course-specific website, that is—as one of HOW magazine's top-10 sites for designers, an honor determined by the design publication's editors each month.
Simmons designed the site specifically as a resource for his CCA Graphic Design 2 course; it consists of inspirational links, videos, work, and commentary, and is "updated every day but Sunday." (Apparently even designers need to rest!). And although much of the content is specific to the course, designers (and especially students) everywhere will find content that pertains to them.
The site, while serving a specific academic purpose, also reveals Simmons' unique sense of humor—as evidenced by the "WTF" header, where designers can exchange comments.
Simmons is a designer, writer, educator, design advocate, and principal of the noted San Francisco design office MINE™. His many credits include serving as president of the AIGA-San Francisco, authoring three books on identity design, and serving as a judge in major design competitions.
