CCA Presents its Industrial Design Senior Show

Posted on Monday, May 3, 2010, by Sarah Owens

CCA's Industrial Design seniors took on a range of contemporary health issues for the 2010 Industrial Design Senior Project. The show, [Second Opinion]/calendar/2010/second-opinion-industrial-design-exhibition), will feature these forays into the well-being of the contemporary urbanite. Eighteen graduating Industrial Design seniors will present a fresh perspective on how industrial design can aid, shelter, and disrupt your 21st-century well-being.

Students designed a wide range of projects, each addressing a different challenge. The spectrum of projects includes a new cane for the blind, a sports bra for breast cancer survivors, wine glasses that remediate fine motor-control impairment, home-security devices to assuage social anxiety, and products that shield commuters from contagion.

Second Opinion will be on display at Chronicle Books in San Francisco on Wednesday, May 5, from 5:30–8:30 p.m.
