Got chops? We want to hear it. CCA is on the hunt for musicians or performance artists, or both, who are interested in performing at the upcoming CCA "Keeping Art Alive Dance Marathon" fundraiser on September 25, or contributing music for a CCA video about the event.

Don't play music, but want to keep art alive? Join us for CCA's first Keeping Art Alive Dance Marathon fundraiser, benefiting the creative and expressive arts program at Children's Hospital in Oakland on September 25 from 3-9 p.m. Lots of great activities for everyone, including plenty of food and drinks, is in store. All proceeds from this event will help keep art alive in the hearts of the young patients at Children's Hospital in Oakland, which will also help them recover from their illnesses and injuries.

So send us a link to your Myspace page or other website that features your work in a music player. Please do not send MP3s or other large attachments. Submissions will be accepted through August 20, 2010, and you must be a currently enrolled CCA student or alumni.

Note: All music must be original works. Accepted music featured on final video may appear on the CCA website, the college's YouTube channel, or CCA's fan page on Facebook. Selected musicians and/or artists will also be eligible for a gift of appreciation.

We're excited to hear your interpretation of the "CCA sound."

To submit your music for consideration, please send URLs to facebook@cca.edu.
