IMPACT Idea Sessions

The Center for Art and Public Life is hosting Idea Sessions for CCA students to discuss project ideas and connect with other students interested in being part of an IMPACT Social Entrepreneurship Award team. Please come ready to discuss social and humanitarian issues you are most passionate about and how you might collaborate through an interdisciplinary team. Meet other students with similar interests and form an IMPACT team. In addition, Center staff will be available to answer any questions about the IMPACT program and the application process.

3 - 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 30
Flex Space, 80 Carolina SF campus

11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Wednesday, December 1
Center for Art and Public Life, Oakland campus

Connect on Facebook

Post your ideas, and look for other students on the Center’s Facebook page to form a team.

Request a DMBA Mentor

If your IMPACT team is interested in receiving mentorship from a DMBA student or alum, please email a brief paragraph about your team’s project and what social issue it seeks to address to IMPACT@cca.edu by Friday, December 10. Requests will be accommodated on a rolling basis.

DMBA mentors can play a crucial role in assisting your IMPACT team with the following:

  • Project research and planning
  • Proposal outlining and editing
  • Presentation preparation (for the finalist teams)
  • Project implementation (for the awarded teams)
