Telling Pictures was founded by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman (above left) and has given rise to such landmark documentaries as The Times of Harvey Milk (1985); Common Threads: Stories from the Quilt (1989); The Celluloid Closet (1995); Paragraph 175, each of which chronicles aspects of history from within the LGBT community.
