Abutment: Lunch time! The corrugated steel on the ground is sheet pile that interlocks with each other and is driven into the ground with a vibrator hammer. The interlocking pile is then braced with shoring (H beam and pipe that is welded into place), then the earth is removed, and a coffer dam is created.
