Events

Network and stay connected with CCA alumni, students, professors, and industry-leading experts! Each year CCA alumni are invited to participate in many professional development opportunities and can also participate in our annual Career Expo. Career Services also cohosts several events throughout the year with the Alumni Association.

Exclusive Alumni Professional Development Offerings

The SCORE Workshop, held in the Boardroom in October 2011, was titled Marketing: Social Networking Platforms & Etiquette. This presentation covered core marketing principals such as speaking to the audience's viewpoint, creating conversations, and identity development. From this foundation, the workshop further examined marketing specifics for different channels including direct sales, introductory presentations, network marketing, and online presence.

The Speed Networking event, located at Axis Café, had the energy and excitement of speed dating without the pressure of having to impress a “date.” Emerging professionals, met, asked questions, and exchanged business cards with well-established professionals, who were also CCA alumni. The structured and unstructured timing of the event allowed alumni to meet with as many other alumni as possible.

The last Speed Networking event was held Wednesday, November 16, 2011 and connected advice-seeking alumni with entrepreneur and small business owner alumni.
