Emergencies on Campus

In the case of any medical emergency on campus requiring an ambulance or emergency medical or paramedic assistance, 911 should be called immediately (it is necessary to dial 8 first from campus phones) and then the Public Safety Department should be notified at 510.385.1821 (Oakland) or 415.621.2395 (San Francisco). Some emergency information is available in the Student Affairs office.

If the injury is major and the injured person has a medical insurance identification card, it will be needed by the ambulance and physician or hospital. The patient is responsible for all medical or injury-related expenses incurred.

All on-campus injuries should be reported to the Facilities Department within 24 hours by completing the official CCA incident form, which is available in most offices.

First Aid

First aid materials for the treatment of minor injuries may be obtained at the Student Affairs offices, at the campus switchboard and reception desks, at all sinks, and at prominent locations in studios.
