Finding a Doctor

You can download a personalized directory of health care providers through the Anthem Blue Cross website. To access your personal account, have available your insurance member ID number (located on your Anthem Blue Cross insurance card).

1. Visit the Anthem Blue Cross website.
2. Select Find a Doctor (the link is located beneath the main Enter selection box), and then choose Local California Providers.
3. For a Member Personalized Search enter your member ID number, then click to continue.
4. Choose Student Coverage/Blue Cross PPO (Prudent Buyer) and specify the desired health care provider type via the pull-down menu. Select Continue.
5. You may also personalize your search by location.
6. A downloadable list of providers will appear after you've entered your personal information.

If your member ID number is unavailable, or if you elected to forego the college insurance plan, follow the same steps above, only choose Visitor Search in step 3.
