This exhibition is the first comprehensive
consideration of the legacy Chicano art in
almost two decades.
The artists—including Christina Fernandez, who documents the "phantom"in the urban landscape; Mario Ybarra Jr., who creates site-specific installations; and the art group Asco—share an interest in what Harry Gamboa Jr. has called "conceptual art in an urban form,"or what the exhibition's curators call "phantom sightings."

This movie is about a young French woman who has spent the night with a Japanese man in Hiroshima where she went for the shooting of a film about peace. He reminds her of the first man she loved.
