About CCA's Student R.A.W. Contests
The R.A.W (Real Artists at Work) contests are juried video and photography themed challenges extended to the CCA student body each fall, with cash prizes awarded to the top selected entries. Students create a two-minute digital film (video) or photograph an original image (photography).

In addition to demonstrating their strong technical skills, participants are required to interpret in their work a particular designated theme. New themes are selected each year. Past themes have included "life in and out of the studio," "bike culture," "residential life," and the "culture of critique."
Participants need not be Film or Photography majors; remarkable submissions have been submitted over the years by students in various programs, entries that offered imaginative and effective takes on the theme at hand. Submissions can also be a collective effort by multiple students, offering a terrific display of interdisciplinary exploration -- or perhaps a collaborative endeavor by students in the same program.
To Qualify
You must be a current CCA student to participate. Multiple entries are allowed. Entrants of winning videos and photos will be required to submit a final digital file. Collaborations are OK, but only one prize will be awarded per winning video or photo.
About the Student Entry
All submissions become the property of California College of the Arts and are added to the CCA website, CCA's Pinterest Page, CCA's Channel on YouTube, CCA's Storify account, and the CCA page on Facebook.
