The pages included in this portion of the Academic Affairs section contain guidelines, information, and forms specific to the needs of program chairs.

Program chairs are selected by the divisional deans in consultation with the program faculty and the Academic Cabinet, and with final approval of the Provost.

Program chairs oversee the daily operations of their academic program. In consultation with their faculty, the program chairs work with and report regularly to their dean.

Program chairs facilitate meetings of their program faculty during the academic year in order to establish and review annual goals, strategies, and metrics; to assess the curriculum; and to ensure the smooth administration of the program.
