Students who attend CCA-sponsored summer study-abroad courses may be eligible for Federal Pell Grants and Federal Direct Loans as long as they are enrolled in a minimum of 6 units for the summer. CCA scholarships are not available for study-abroad courses.
The tuition for these courses has already been discounted. It includes housing costs and more. (It is as if everyone got a scholarship up front.)

Summer Study Abroad Registration
Students must register in a minimum of 6 units to be eligible for summer financial aid. With three on-campus summer sessions (complete list of classes to be posted in February), you should be able to find another three-unit course to fulfill this requirement. The summer sessions offered are: two six-week sessions / May 23–June 30 and July 5–August 12; one three-week session / July 25–August 12.
Note: A $50 nonrefundable registration fee is required.
After confirmation of your summer enrollment, final award notifications will be available once all required documentation has been submitted and reviewed by the Financial Aid Office. Enrollment changes may result in adjustments to your summer financial aid. Changes to your summer schedule after your first course has started may be considered a withdrawal and could affect your eligibility.
Students are responsible for all charges that result from a withdrawal.

Summer Study Abroad Financial Aid Awarding
Students enrolling in CCA-sponsored study-abroad courses must submit a 2016-17 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the U.S. Department of Education either online or by mail by Monday, February 8, 2016.
Complete the Summer 2016 Financial Aid Application Form to be estimated for your summer courses. Once your estimate is complete, you will receive an email notifying you to visit Student Accounts to determine if there are any charges in excess of your estimate. Prior to registration, all potential balances must be paid in full.
As of March 15, after summer registration is confirmed, students will begin to receive their award letters reflecting summer, fall and spring awards.
The last day to submit a 2016 summer financial aid application is April 29, 2016. Requests for summer financial aid received after the deadline will not be considered.
The sooner you submit your materials, the sooner you will receive an award notification.
Students should receive their award notices three to five business days after their FAFSA has been received and registration for summer is completed. Should enrollment plans for the summer change, your financial aid may be adjusted or cancelled. Feel free to contact the Financial Aid Office if you have any questions regarding summer awarding.
