Ben Belllizzi currently works as a grant writer at World Cares Center.
He has completed two novels (pending publication) and has written for several nonprofit organizations both in the United States and abroad. His works of fiction and nonfiction have appeared in various domestic and international magazines.

Bellizzi's short story, "A Quick and Cozy Kidnapping [Nicaragua]" is included in Be There Now (Dream of Things, 2012), a collection of true travel stories featuring 22 contributors who share adventures and escapades from around the world. Dream of Things publishes anthologies of creative nonfiction, memoirs, and other books.
"What Might Be There", "Find Her", and "Plunging", all short stories published by Prick of the Spindle, an online and print journal whose goal it is to both recognize new talent and to include those who have a foot planted in the writing community.
He had one of his stories listed in "2010 notable fiction" of the 2011 Best American Nonrequired Reading (edited by McSweeney's founder Dave Eggers), the premier annual showcase for the country’s finest short fiction and nonfiction selected by high school students in California and Michigan through 826 Valencia and 826michigan.
