Animation Workshops are a series of courses that teach essential skills about a specific topic within animation. Under the guidance of the instructor, students will engage in rigorous study about a specific subject matter. The goal of Animation Workshops is to produce work that illustrates the skills learned. These courses are open to all CCA students who have completed CORE D1 and 4D.

Learn to design, build and sculpt three-dimensional clay maquettes as used in an animation studios setting. This class will discuss the purpose of character sculpting and its placement within the animation preproduction and production pipeline. Emphasis will be placed on basic principles of design such as balance, rhythm, contrast and harmony. This course will teach technique on how to build a clay model from the inside out; paying particular attention to the skeletal and musculature system. The goal of this class is to create unique and appealing clay-sculpted characters. Additional materials fee will be charged.
