Urban Green Infrastructures and Interventions This course will concentrate on Urban Green Infrastructures and the performative potentials of landscape at many scales. Students will learn fundamental skills in landscape architecture ecologies and technologies: environmental theory, geology, hydrology, topographic design, planting and vegetation, remediation, and temporal considerations. Lectures will alternate with field visits throughout the semester. Field visits will include many scales of work, from the parklet to the forest. The works of Hargreaves Associates, Peter Walker and Partners, CMG Associates, GLS Landscape Architecture, and Andrea Cochran, will be visited. The course outcome will be case studies, field notes and drawings, and design exercises.
