From national parks to urban gardens, from air quality to climate, from greywater recycling to ocean ecosystems, humans have widely varied and complex relationships with the natural world. The domain of human:nature interactions serves as the topic arena for this course in design research. Students will learn and deploy research methods - including secondary research, quantitative and qualitative ethnographic research, and other human-centered research techniques - students will create design briefs to address particular regions of this complex web of relations.
