Twelve Hundred Drawings, Twenty Four Hundred Hours was shown at the San Jose Museum of Art, 2007.
Acquisition Exhibition was shown at The Crocker Museum, Sacramento. Franklin was a participant at the Conference of World Affairs, Boulder, Colorado 1998, 1999, 2000. He participated in the Whitney Museum Painting Annual, as well as the Whitney Museum Sculpture Annual. Franklin also participated in the Funk Art Show at the University of California Berkeley and The Institute of Contemporary Art Boston.
Franklin also authored Soft As Cotton, Centered and Hard: Painting and Poetry by Franklin Williams (self-published, 1997). I received grants from the Ford Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Franklin's work is represented in the public collections of the San Jose Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Corcoran Museum, Oakland Art Museum, University of California Berkeley Museum, DeRosa Preserve and others.
